UnitOps is a shift management platform built for nursing units. It takes the paperwork, spreadsheets and late-night phone calls out of shift bidding, and replaces them with a clear, fair process that everyone on the unit can trust.
Managers build a shift matrix, open a bidding round, and let nurses rank or select the shifts they want from any phone or computer. UnitOps then awards shifts in seniority order, following the exact rules in your union contract: seniority basis, tiebreakers, eligibility by role, and one awarded shift per nurse. For units that offer shifts live, UnitOps runs timed offers one nurse at a time, with a shared Shuffle Board the whole team can watch during a huddle.
Every decision is recorded in plain language, and an automatic fairness check runs after every change, so results can be explained to staff and union representatives with confidence.
UnitOps is for nurse managers, staffing coordinators, and the nurses whose schedules depend on getting this right. It is built by people who have lived through shift shuffles on real hospital units and wanted a better way to run them.
